From electronics to the beverage giant Starbucks, Tata conglomerate has been reigning in international tie-ups for over a decade. And now, the talks of Tata acquiring the Wistron Corp, one of three iPhone makers in India, is yet again a clean sweep for the Indian corporate giant.

Wistron is one of the largest ODMs in the world and has a presence in multiple countries, including China, India, Poland, and the United States. The company has a long-standing relationship with several major technology companies, including Apple and Dell, and is known for its expertise in designing and manufacturing a wide range of products such as smartphones, laptops, and servers.

The acquisition of Wistron will allow Tata to expand its presence in the global information technology and telecommunication market, as well as leverage Wistron’s expertise and resources to develop and manufacture new products. It will also strengthen Tata’s position as a key player in the global technology market, and support the company’s goal to become a major player in the technology industry.

ata Group’s chairman, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, said in a statement that the acquisition of Wistron is a “strategically important step” for the company and will help Tata to “expand our capabilities in the technology space and accelerate our growth in the global market.”

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but it is believed that the deal was worth billions of dollars. This acquisition will be a big step for Tata group to increase its presence in the information technology and telecommunication market. It is expected to create new job opportunities and will boost the economy of the countries where Wistron has its presence. The acquisition is pending regulatory approval and it is yet to be seen how it will play out in the future.

After Tata’s acquisition of the Wistron, India will officially have its first homegrown iPhone manufacturing factory, and we can expect a significant price-drop in iphones which were exorbitantly pricey till now.

Being said that, it makes the fact unequivocal, that the house of Tatas is indeed blessed by God.
