Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the Indian community in Georgetown, Guyana, marked a celebration of cultural heritage, economic progress, and strengthened bilateral ties. The event, attended by Guyanese President Dr. Irfaan Ali and other prominent leaders, underscored the Indo-Guyanese community’s role in shaping the region’s cultural and economic fabric.

PM Modi highlighted the Indo-Guyanese community’s journey, emphasizing their contributions to Guyana’s development and the preservation of Indian culture. From the Indian Arrival Monument to the shared love for cricket, the visit showcased the enduring bonds between India and Guyana. The Prime Minister dedicated his receipt of Guyana’s highest national award to the 1.4 billion Indians and the Indo-Guyanese diaspora.
