In a major step toward digital literacy and education for all, Paytm Foundation has partnered with Delhi Technological University (DTU) to launch ‘Wisdom on Wheels’, a mobile learning initiative aimed at equipping underserved students with essential computer skills. This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s mission to promote digital inclusion and skill development, ensuring students have the technological knowledge needed for the future.
The company has designed Wisdom on Wheels bus to bring quality digital education to students who lack access to computers and technology. Fully air-conditioned and equipped with self-power backup facilities, the bus will travel across Delhi/NCR, visiting schools, villages, and community centers to provide hands-on training in computer skills, said Paytm.
The initiative was inaugurated by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, alongside Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of Paytm, who has contributed to the project in his personal capacity, and Professor Prateek Sharma, Vice Chancellor of DTU.
As part of the initiative, students will undergo a certified 3-month Basic Computer Course conducted by DTU. They will be mentored by DTU faculty coordinators and students, ensuring they receive structured guidance. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded certificates, giving them a valuable credential for future career and educational opportunities.
