RuPay JCB Cardholders to Get 25% Cashback for In-Store Purchases Across Eight Asian Countries

In a move aimed at enhancing international travel spending experiences for Indian consumers, RuPay and JCB International have announced a limited-period cashback offer for RuPay JCB Debit and Credit cardholders. The campaign, which runs from June 15 to August 31, 2025, allows eligible cardholders to avail 25% cashback on in-store purchases across eight countries in Asia.

The offer applies to Point of Sale (POS) transactions made at stores in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong. To qualify, a cardholder must make at least two separate transactions in the listed destinations. Each transaction can earn a maximum cashback of ₹1,500, with the total capped at ₹15,000 per card during the offer window.

Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Products at NPCI, emphasized the relevance of this initiative in light of rising international travel, “As RuPay strengthens its international presence, this collaboration with JCB reflects our commitment to delivering seamless and rewarding payment experiences across key travel destinations in Asia.”

Yutaro Shimizu, Senior Vice President at JCB International, said this marks the sixth such global cashback campaign. He highlighted the initiative’s alignment with JCB’s vision of improving cardholder experiences, “RuPay JCB Debit and Credit cardholders can now enjoy 25% cashback on all face-to-face purchases made while exploring these preferred international getaways. From vibrant local markets to premium retail experiences, RuPay JCB enhances every shopping moment.”

The offer comes at a time when more Indians are traveling abroad, and highlights RuPay’s growing role in enabling global digital transactions. The initiative also underscores the strategic partnership between NPCI and JCB aimed at making international payments smarter and more rewarding for Indian travellers.
