Paytm has introduced a new feature called ‘Hide Payment’—a user-centric enhancement that allows individuals to privately hide or unhide specific transactions from their payment history. This update is aimed at giving users greater control over how their payment records are displayed, while ensuring that all transaction data remains securely accessible when needed.
The feature responds to growing demand for discretion in managing routine mobile payments. Whether someone is buying a surprise gift, placing a late-night food order, visiting a pharmacy, or making a personal purchase, Hide Payment lets them keep such transactions private or simply out of sight. It offers a simple way to prevent sensitive payments from being visible in a shared setting without affecting the security or traceability of records.
“Our focus has always been on understanding what our customers need, and that continues to guide our mobile payment innovations. With ‘Hide Payment’, we’re enabling individuals to hide and unhide transactions while maintaining privacy. It’s a thoughtful addition that brings more control and comfort to everyday payments,” a Paytm spokesperson said.
To hide a transaction, users can head to the ‘Balance & History’ section in the Paytm app, swipe left on a transaction, and tap on ‘Hide’. To unhide a transaction, users can tap the three-dot icon next to ‘Payment History’ on the same screen, select ‘View Hidden Payments’, verify with a passcode or biometric authentication, and then swipe left again to unhide it.
The new feature adds to a growing list of tools Paytm is rolling out to improve the overall mobile payments experience. Other recent updates include the launch of a QR Widget for quick scan-and-pay access without opening the app, downloadable UPI statements in Excel and PDF formats, and support for international UPI payments in markets such as the UAE, Singapore, France, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan.
